The Brief
Tracy and David reached out to us with an exciting new venture: Little Naughtea, a bubble tea startup setting up shop on the vibrant Lee-on-the-Solent seafront. They were looking for a logo and brand identity that would stand out, but also carry a special, personal touch. Inspired by anime culture, they envisioned a mascot-style logo inspired by their daughter, similar in tone and playfulness to Crunchyroll’s mascot, Hime. Their dream? To create a fun, welcoming space that would capture both the hearts and curiosity of passers-by, especially bubble tea lovers.
Our Approach
From our very first call, we knew this project was going to be as joyful and distinctive as the drinks they planned to serve. We dove into research, exploring anime iconography, coastal aesthetics, and competitor bubble tea branding. Our aim was to strike the perfect balance between playful and professional, infusing the character design with personality while ensuring the overall brand felt cohesive across every touchpoint, from signage to takeaway flyers.
We collaborated closely with Tracy and David, incorporating their daughter’s likeness into the design in a way that felt true to anime style- big eyes, bold lines, and a pop-culture edge that felt instantly relatable and fun.

The Result
Little Naughtea launched to a warm and bubbly reception - literally! The branding captured the hearts of locals and tourists alike, instantly setting the tone for a playful and welcoming experience. The mascot has already become a recognisable face in the community, helping the shop stand out in a competitive space and creating a memorable connection with customers.
